“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
In a world where so much is going on, Christians at some point lose focus of God. There are some who turn to psychic readers, talk show hosts, politicians, and many other sources in answer to the numerous problems that beset them.
Solomon who was the wisest of all men, faced similar thing. Solomon could never find his way, to getting peace from a world that had so much to offer him. At one point, he started to worship idols following the ways of his wives. His vast understanding did not yield him peace but resulted in feelings of futility.
In Proverbs 3, the Lord wants us to trust him. God informs us not to lean on our own wisdom, for our wisdom is limited. God tells us in His Word that if we trust him, He will direct our path. Today, let us put away our ‘know-it-all’ attitude, and surrender everything we intend to undertake to God. Let us with prayers commit everything to God. God will give us peace and understanding.
