“Clinging to the Lord”
Tuesday, July 16.
“By faith Moses parents hid him for three month after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict” (Hebrews 11:23).
Hebrews 11:27 tells us how Moses endured. Moses, a murderer chosen by God to lead the children of Israel had his shortcomings. He had many uncertainties in his life. How could he address Pharaoh when he was slow in speaking (Exodus 4:10)? How could this murderer become God’s chosen?
Moses knew for sure what the Lord expected of him. What he did not know was what the future had in store for him. But by faith, Moses moved forward. Moses trusted in the power of the Lord to guide, protect and make him victorious.
Like Moses, we too wonder about things. We wonder if we will ever get married, finish college, or be able to own a house. Fortunately, our source of security has not change in life. God is still the only certainty in life. Let us us trust him.
Memory verse: Ephesian 2:4
“The only way we will learn to trust God is by getting to know God,” (Lydia Brownback).
