“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words,” (Proverbs 4:20 NIV).
The Bible is a wonderful book. In the Bible, we find wisdom from principles of God for right character, conduct, and conversation that will guide us through the situations and decision that confronts us in our everyday lives.
Despite having the Bible, we have had situations in our lives when we did not respond wisely. The reason would be because we did not apply known biblical principles to our lives or we completely ignored it.
To ensure this does not happen to us, we need to read our Bibles and familiarize ourselves with the principles of God. Not only reading but also understanding the following the Word of God.
While we live the Christian life, we will get wisdom by absorbing Scriptures, doing what it says, and observing the results. This is for our good even if the situations we faced aren’t favorable.
Memory verse: Joshua 1:8.
“Be true to your work, your word, and your friend,” (Henry David Thoreau).
