“There is a gift for every believer”
Monday, July 22.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms,” (1 Peter 4:10 NIV).
Every believer has a spiritual gift. Some believers think they were not given the gift they wanted. Some other believers wish they had other gifts and do not use the want the Holy Spirit bestows upon them. These attitudes hinders the work of God in the body of Christ.
God has a specific purpose and plan for every believer. To fulfill God’s plan, we have to make use of the gifts he gives to us. Our involvement in the church helps us achieve this. We can only discover our divinely given abilities when we put our gifts to use.
We exercise these gifts for the common good of the church. Everyone benefits when we do work for the church through the power of the Holy Spirit. These gifts are use to equip, edify, and encourage. Each one of us is important. Let us do the task assigned us in the house of God.
Memory verse: 1 Corinthians 12:7.
“I feel that it is vital that we all reopen our spiritual gifts and open up to the voice of the divine,” (Doreen Virtue).
